The proposals will enhance and support the cultural and leisure regeneration of Brighton and Hove by providing:
- A comprehensive sports and leisure facility
- A building of world class architectural quality creating interest and an attractive destination
- High density affordable housing
- Significant new public spaces
Employment
- Up to 750 jobs during construction of the development
- Legal agreement to use local contractors and labour
- Training and construction skills apprenticeships for local people for 10% of the workforce
- 175 additional FTE jobs following completion of the development
- Further investment and growth of existing businesses and employment in Hove
